Meyers Coctail Drip
The Meyers Cocktail, an original mixture of orthomolecular infusion therapies, was developed in the 1950s by Dr. John Myers, an American doctor. This therapy involves the administration of high doses of vitamins (such as vitamin C and B vitamins) and minerals (such as calcium and magnesium) to treat exhaustion, chronic fatigue, poor performance, during convalescence after illness or simply to increase well-being and performance. A traditional Meyers Cocktail contains high doses of vitamin C, B vitamins (thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, panthenol, pyridoxine, biotin, folic acid, cobalamin), magnesium and calcium in a carrier infusion solution. Over time, other proven recipes and infusion mixtures for various indications have been developed based on the Myers Cocktail, which also contain amino acids and antioxidants. For a lasting effect, 10-12 infusions at weekly intervals are usually recommended. The infusion takes about one and a half hours in total, with the folic acid being added separately for compatibility reasons.
